Welcome to the of Abu Ali ibn Sino!

Memorial museum to Aby Ali ibn Sino was opened in the settlement Afshona of Peshku province of Bukhara region in1980, on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the outstanding thinker, encyclopedic scientist of the Middle Ages Avicenna. In the exhibition of the museum there are more than 400 exhibits of material and spiritual culture associating with the epoch of Abu Ali ibn Sino and the history of Bukhara in the X-XIth century.




Having visited the exhibition of the memorial museum you will see the most interesting exhibits:

•  Bone chess pieces of the 9-10th century
•  Medieval drug-store and tools of the 7-8Ith century 

•  Ganch panel from the palace of the Samanids in Samarkand. Afrasiyab, 9-10th century
•  Medieval medical tools used in the East in the IXth century. Reproduction.
•  Copy of the miniature “The lesson on medicine in the presence of Avicenna, Halen and Hyppocratus”. 1461. Paris
